  1. Introduction

    Welcome to Datrimony, a curated matchmaking platform operated by Couple Squad Private Limited (CIN U93000KL2022PTC074724) from No B28, Centerspace Co-working, Kottayam, Kerala 686601, India ("Company"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") set forth the legally binding terms governing your use of the Datrimony mobile application, website, and services (collectively, "Service").

    The Service is exclusively available to Indian citizens and persons of Indian origin aged 18 years or older (men 18+, women 18+) seeking matrimonial matches. By accessing or using the Service, you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

  2. Account Creation and Eligibility

    You must submit accurate, current, and complete information, including your full legal name, date of birth, gender, religion, caste (optional), sexual orientation (optional), marital status, education, and employment details. You agree to upload a recent photograph and may upload government-issued identification as prompted for enhanced credibility. Multiple accounts for the same individual are not permitted.

  3. Subscription Plans and Paid Services

    Free registration provides limited discovery features. Paid subscription plans unlock additional visibility, messaging, personalised matchmaking by our experts, and access to Background and Financial Check reports.

    Upon your explicit request and payment of the applicable fee, we will engage government-approved agencies of our choice to perform background and/or credit checks. Results will be shared solely with you and the member whose profile is being verified, as agreed to in advance during the request flow.

    Fees are displayed in-app in INR and processed via Cashfree. All purchases are final and non-refundable.

  4. User Obligations and Code of Conduct

    You agree to:

    • Provide true, current, and complete information and update it promptly.
    • Use the Service solely for seeking matrimonial alliances and not for casual dating, escort services, or any illegal purpose.
    • Indicate a genuine willingness to be introduced to match candidates suggested by our matchmaking team, including as a free member, and to meet such candidates in good faith.
    • Treat other members with respect and refrain from harassment, hate speech, obscene content, sexual solicitation, or financial scams.
    • Not share, screenshot, or publish any member profile, verification report, or chat transcripts outside the Service.

    We may suspend, terminate, or hide your profile if you violate these obligations.

  5. Verification and Disclaimer

    While we offer optional identity, background, and financial checks, we do not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of any member information. You are solely responsible for conducting additional due diligence and making informed decisions before meeting or marrying another member.

  6. Assumption of Risk and Release

    Interactions with strangers carry inherent risks. You agree that the Company is not responsible for any loss, injury, or damage arising out of your use of the Service, meetings, or marriage facilitated by the Service. You waive any claims against the Company to the maximum extent permitted by law.

  7. Limitation of Liability

    Our aggregate liability under these Terms shall not exceed the greater of INR 10,000 or the total fees you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages. The foregoing does not limit liability for fraud or wilful misconduct.

  8. Indemnity

    You will indemnify and hold harmless the Company, its affiliates, and their officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses arising out of your breach of these Terms, any false information you provide, or your interactions with other members.

  9. Dispute Resolution

    Before initiating legal proceedings, the parties must attempt in good faith to resolve any dispute via negotiation or mediation for at least 60 days. Failing settlement, the dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ernakulam, Kerala, India and governed by Indian law.

  10. Termination and Data Retention

    You may delete your account at any time. We retain profile data until deletion and may preserve logs for legal purposes after deletion as described in the Privacy Policy.

  11. General Provisions

    • Entire Agreement: These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and the Company.
    • Severability: If any provision is held invalid, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
    • Assignment: You may not assign these Terms without our consent.

  1. Scope and Purpose

    This Privacy Policy describes how Couple Squad Private Limited ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and discloses personal data in connection with the Datrimony Service.

  2. Applicable Law

    Processing is governed by the Information Technology Act 2000, the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 (DPDPA), and relevant rules. The Service is intended for Indian citizens and persons of Indian origin; GDPR does not apply.

    We rely on your explicit consent for processing sensitive personal data such as religion, caste, and sexual orientation. You may withdraw consent at any time, but this may limit Service functionality.

  5. How We Use Personal Data

    • Create and manage your profile.
    • Recommend matches and facilitate communication.
    • Perform identity, background, and financial checks via government-approved agencies when requested.
    • Process payments through Cashfree.
    • Publish success stories by default with name and photo; you may opt out by emailing support@datrimony.com.
    • Enforce Terms, prevent fraud, and ensure safety.
    • Comply with legal obligations.
  6. Sharing of Personal Data

    • Match candidates: Your profile is visible to other Datrimony members according to your privacy settings.
    • Background-check agencies: When you request a check, we share your full name, date of birth, and other necessary details.
    • Service providers: Cloud hosting (AWS), database (MongoDB Atlas), SMS (Fast2SMS), analytics, and payment gateway (Cashfree).
    • Legal requests: We may disclose data to law enforcement or regulators if lawfully required.

    We do not sell personal data.

  7. International Transfers

    Personal data may be processed on servers located in India and Singapore. We implement contractual and organisational safeguards compliant with Indian law for cross-border transfers.

  8. Data Retention

    We retain profile data until you delete your account. Upon deletion, we remove your profile from public view but may retain backup copies and transaction logs for up to three years to comply with legal obligations and for dispute resolution.

  9. Security

    We employ encryption in transit and at rest, firewalls, access controls, periodic penetration tests, and staff training.

  10. Your Rights

    Under the DPDPA, you have the right to request:

    • Access or correction of personal data.
    • Data portability.
    • Erasure of data that is no longer necessary.
    • Grievance redressal.

    Submit requests to support@datrimony.com. We will acknowledge within 24 hours and resolve within 15 days.

  11. Children's Data

    Persons under 18 years are not permitted to register. We delete any data that we discover relates to a minor.

  12. Changes to this Policy

    We may update this policy periodically. Material changes will be notified via email or in-app alert.
